Dear Second Grader,

   Hi there! My name is Mrs. Voutour and I will be your teacher for this year. I can hardly wait to meet you.

 So that we can get to know each other a little better I want to tell you a little bit about me. I am married and I have two awesome children. Julia is fourteen years old and Lydia is eleven years old. Oops! I can’t forget about our family member that has four legs! Her name is Rosie and she is a guinea pig!                          

 We live in Lockport. It is a 30 minute drive from our school. One of my favorite things to do is read a good book. I also like to swim, go to the beach or just go for a walk. My favorite color is green and my favorite food is chocolate! I can hardly wait to hear all about you!

 I am so excited about school in September and a little nervous too! Even teachers get nervous! Our room number is 403. Have a terrific end of your summer and I will see in September! I will be waiting for you!
